Painting FAQs
Straight answers so you can plan your project with confidence.
Pricing and estimates
How much will this cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the project, the amount of prep, the surfaces being painted, and the overall scope. We provide a clear estimate so you know what to expect before work begins.
What is included in your price?
My pricing includes proper preparation, professional-grade materials, paint, labor, protection of floors and furniture, and a full cleanup once the job is complete. Nothing important is left out or assumed.
Are there hidden charges?
No. The estimate outlines the full scope of work. If something unexpected comes up outside that scope, it’s discussed and approved before any additional work is done.
Paint and products
Do you include paint or do I buy it?
Paint is included in the price. I purchase and supply professional-quality paint so I can control the quality, consistency, and coverage of the finished product.
What paint brands do you use?
I use trusted, professional-grade brands like Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore because they provide better coverage, durability, and long-term performance
How many coats will be applied?
Most projects receive two full coats for proper coverage and color consistency. Primer is applied when needed to ensure adhesion and long-lasting results.
Prep, protection, and timeline
How do you prep before painting?
Prep includes repairing nail holes and minor damage, sanding rough areas, cleaning surfaces, and addressing any issues that could affect the final finish
How do you protect floors and furniture?
I use drop cloths, plastic, and careful masking to protect your home before any painting begins.
How long will the job take?
Most rooms take a few days depending on prep, drying time, and scope. I provide realistic timelines and don’t rush the work.
Will I need to leave the house?
In most cases, no. I work cleanly and safely so homeowners can remain comfortable in their home.
Cleanliness and professionalism
Do you clean up daily?
We clean up at the end of every workday, not just when the job is finished. That includes putting tools away, removing trash, and making sure walkways and living areas are neat and safe. Then once the project is complete, we do a final detailed cleanup before calling the job done.”
Are you insured?
Yes, I’m fully insured, so your home and property are protected while I’m working.
